singular forms
One, not many
Singular forms are the versions of words that refer to one person, thing, or instance rather than multiple.
In English, nouns typically have singular and plural forms: cat versus cats, child versus children.
Verbs also inflect for singular subjects: she runs versus they run.
Some words like sheep or information use the same form for both.
