single blind
One-sided concealment study
Single blind describes an experiment where participants don't know whether they're receiving the real treatment or a placebo, but the researchers do know.
This design reduces bias from participant expectations while still allowing researchers to assess results directly.
Compare with double blind, where neither party knows: The drug trial used a single-blind methodology.
