self-adhesive stamps
Lickless postal stickers
Self-adhesive stamps have a pressure-sensitive backing that sticks without moistening—you peel them from a liner and press them onto an envelope.
They largely replaced lick-and-stick stamps in the late twentieth century: I prefer self-adhesive stamps because I don't have to taste the glue.
