sawn-off
Cut down criminally
Sawn-off describes something that has been shortened by sawing, most often a shotgun with its barrel cut down for concealment and wider shot spread: a sawn-off shotgun.
The term is British; Americans say sawed-off.
Both can describe anything truncated or stubby: a sawn-off little man.
