salt craving
Wanting salty foods
Salt craving is an intense desire for salty foods.
It can signal dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, or certain medical conditions, but often it's simply appetite: I've had major salt cravings lately—I could eat a whole bag of chips.
Pregnant women commonly report salt cravings alongside other dietary urges.
