Salad spinners are kitchen devices that remove water from washed leafy greens.
A perforated inner basket holds the leaves while a hand-powered mechanism—usually a crank, pump, or pull cord—spins it rapidly inside an outer bowl.
Centrifugal force drives water off the leaves and through the basket holes.
I ran the lettuce through the salad spinner so the dressing would stick.
