ruck up

Crease and bunch

Ruck up means to gather or bunch into wrinkles or folds.

Fabric that rucks up doesn't lie flat: My shirt keeps rucking up in the back.

In military slang, to ruck up means to put on a rucksack and prepare to move out, or more broadly to get ready for a difficult task: Time to ruck up and get moving.
