red licorice
Strawberry candy tubes
Red licorice is a chewy candy shaped like traditional licorice twists or ropes but flavored with fruit—usually strawberry or cherry—rather than actual licorice root.
The name is a misnomer since it contains no licorice at all, just borrows the form: Twizzlers are the most popular red licorice in America.
Sometimes called licorice simply by color association.
