reads minds
Knows your thinking
To read minds is to perceive another person's thoughts without verbal communication—a supposed psychic ability.
More commonly, the phrase describes accurate intuition about what someone is thinking: She always knows what I want before I say it—it's like she reads minds.
The accusation I can't read minds protests being expected to know something unstated.
