ramblings

Aimless spoken wanderings

Ramblings are lengthy, disorganized speech or writing that wanders from topic to topic without clear direction.

The word usually carries mild criticism—suggesting someone has gone on too long without getting to the point: I'll spare you my ramblings about the trip.

Often used self-deprecatingly: Thanks for reading my late-night ramblings.
