radar cross-section
Stealth aircraft metric
Radar cross-section is a measure of how detectable an object is by radar—specifically, how much radar energy it reflects back toward the source.
A larger cross-section means the object appears bigger on radar screens.
Stealth aircraft are designed to minimize their radar cross-section through angular shapes and absorbent materials: The B-2 bomber has a radar cross-section smaller than a bird's.
