quinquagenarian
Person in fifties
A quinquagenarian is a person in their fifties—between fifty and fifty-nine years old.
The word is formal and somewhat rare, used when precision about age matters or for mild humor: As a quinquagenarian, I've learned to pace myself.
Compare quadragenarian (forties), sexagenarian (sixties), and so on through the decades.
