prom kings
Crowned male students
A prom king is a male student chosen by classmates to reign over prom, the formal dance held near the end of the American high school year.
The title is typically honorary and ceremonial, awarded through popular vote alongside a prom queen.
Being named prom king often signals social popularity or athletic achievement, though some schools have expanded the tradition beyond conventional popularity contests.
