presently

In a moment

Presently has two meanings that can cause confusion.

The older sense means soon or shortly: The doctor will see you presently.

The newer sense means now or at the present time: She's presently working on a novel.

Context usually clarifies which is meant, though the ambiguity occasionally creates misunderstanding.
