any time now
Expected right away
Any time now means imminently—something expected to happen very soon: The baby could arrive any time now.
It often carries a note of anticipation or impatience: He should be walking through that door any time now.
The phrase can also be used sarcastically when something promised hasn't materialized: Sure, I'll get that raise any time now.
