precommitted

Locked in beforehand

Precommitted describes having made a binding decision in advance, often to constrain future choices.

Someone precommitted to a course of action has deliberately limited their options: I'm precommitted to the morning session, so I can't attend yours.

In behavioral economics and philosophy, precommitment is a strategy for overcoming weakness of will—you precommit to saving money by setting up automatic deposits, or precommit to a deadline by announcing it publicly.
