praise team
Church music group
A praise team is a small group of singers, often with instrumentalists, who lead worship music in contemporary Christian church services.
Unlike a traditional choir, praise teams typically number three to eight members and stand at the front of the congregation, guiding the audience through songs displayed on screens: The praise team opened with two upbeat numbers before the sermon.
