pizza party
Slice-sharing social gathering
A pizza party is an informal social gathering where pizza is the main food, typically organized for groups like office workers, school classes, or sports teams.
The term often carries slightly ironic connotations when used for workplace events, suggesting a cheap substitute for meaningful rewards: They gave us a pizza party instead of raises.
Despite this, pizza parties remain genuinely popular for children's birthdays and casual celebrations.
