photo collections
Gathered picture sets
Photo collections are curated groupings of photographs, typically organized by theme, event, subject, or time period.
The term appears in digital contexts—phone apps, cloud storage, social media—where software automatically or manually sorts images into albums: My photo collection from the trip is finally organized.
Physical photo collections exist too, from shoeboxes of prints to museum archives.
