permanent exhibit
Always-open museum section
A permanent exhibit is a display in a museum, gallery, or similar institution that remains on view indefinitely, as opposed to temporary or traveling exhibitions.
The term is somewhat optimistic—permanent exhibits do change over time, but the intention is long-term installation: The dinosaur skeletons are part of the museum's permanent exhibit.
