party man
Faithful political supporter
A party man is someone loyal to a political party, prioritizing party interests over independent judgment.
The term often carries a slightly dismissive tone, suggesting someone who follows the party line without question: He's a reliable party man who votes however leadership tells him.
Less commonly, a party man is simply someone who enjoys social gatherings.
