party list

Electoral nomination roll

Party list refers to an electoral system where voters choose among political parties rather than individual candidates, and seats are allocated proportionally based on each party's share of the vote.

Parties publish ranked lists of candidates before the election; seats go to candidates in order of their position on the list.

Under the party list system, smaller parties have a better chance of winning representation.
