overlines

Marks above letters

Overlines are lines of text appearing above a headline, typically in smaller type.

In journalism and design, an overline introduces or categorizes the main headline below it: The overline read "Breaking News" above the story's title.

Also called a kicker or eyebrow.

In typography, overline can also mean a line drawn above text, the inverse of an underline.
