overgrips
Handle tape layers
Overgrips are thin wrapping tape applied over the existing grip on a racket handle in tennis, badminton, squash, and similar sports.
They provide a fresh tacky surface for better control and sweat absorption without replacing the base grip underneath.
Players often change overgrips frequently—sometimes between matches or even games—since they wear out faster than permanent grips.
I always carry a few extra overgrips in my bag.
