otoscopes
Canal inspection tools
Otoscopes are handheld medical instruments used to examine the ear canal and eardrum.
A typical otoscope has a light, a magnifying lens, and a cone-shaped tip called a speculum that fits into the ear opening.
Doctors use them to diagnose ear infections, check for earwax buildup, or spot foreign objects: The pediatrician grabbed the otoscope to look at the toddler's inflamed ear.
