open-air events
Festivals without roofs
Open-air events are gatherings held outdoors rather than in enclosed buildings: concerts, festivals, markets, weddings, or sporting events.
The term emphasizes exposure to weather and natural surroundings: The open-air events were canceled due to rain.
Planning for open-air events typically involves contingencies for wind, heat, or precipitation.
