nonstick pot

Slippery cooking vessel

A nonstick pot is a cooking vessel with a coating that prevents food from adhering to its surface.

The coating—typically Teflon or ceramic—allows cooking with less oil and makes cleanup easier: I scrambled eggs in the nonstick pot.

Nonstick cookware requires gentler treatment than traditional pots, as metal utensils can damage the coating.
