nonliturgical
Outside formal worship
Nonliturgical describes religious practices, music, or settings that fall outside formal worship services prescribed by a church's official rites.
A nonliturgical hymn might be sung at a prayer group but not during Mass.
Some denominations have few or no prescribed rituals and are essentially nonliturgical in character.
