nonimmune
Lacking disease resistance
Nonimmune describes someone or something lacking immunity to a particular disease or pathogen.
A nonimmune person has no protection—whether from prior infection, vaccination, or natural resistance—and remains susceptible: Nonimmune individuals should avoid contact with infected patients.
The term appears most often in medical and epidemiological contexts.
