navel-gazers
Excessively inward-looking people
Navel-gazers are people excessively absorbed in self-contemplation or self-analysis—metaphorically staring at their own navels rather than engaging with the world.
The term is dismissive, suggesting unproductive introspection: The committee was full of navel-gazers who never got anything done.
