muling

Transporting illegal goods

Muling is the act of transporting contraband—typically drugs or money—on behalf of others, often across borders.

The term comes from mule, the pack animal, applied to people who carry illegal goods: He got five years for muling cocaine through the airport.

Drug organizations recruit mulers who may not know what they're carrying or who face coercion.
