moon landing denial
Apollo hoax belief
Moon landing denial is the belief that the Apollo moon landings were faked by NASA, typically claiming the footage was filmed on Earth as part of an elaborate hoax.
Adherents point to supposed anomalies in photographs and videos as evidence, though these have been thoroughly debunked.
The term is sometimes used more broadly for rejecting well-documented historical events: His climate skepticism is just moon landing denial in a lab coat.
