moka
Octagonal coffee brewer
Moka is a style of coffee maker, specifically the stovetop pot that forces boiling water through ground coffee using steam pressure.
The octagonal aluminum design, invented in Italy, produces strong espresso-like coffee: I put the moka on the stove every morning.
Also called a moka pot.
The word derives from Mocha, the Yemeni port historically associated with coffee trade.
