milk tooth
Child's temporary incisor
A milk tooth is one of the temporary teeth that appear in young children, later replaced by permanent adult teeth.
Also called baby teeth or deciduous teeth.
The term comes from the milky-white color and the fact that they emerge while the child is still nursing: She lost her first milk tooth at age six.
