mechanical power
Force from machinery
Mechanical power is the rate at which mechanical work is performed—how quickly energy converts into motion or force.
In physics, it's measured in watts or horsepower.
The term also refers broadly to power generated by machines rather than human or animal effort: The Industrial Revolution replaced manual labor with mechanical power.
A machine's mechanical power determines how much work it can accomplish in a given time.
