lucky sevens
Slot machine winners
Lucky sevens refers to the belief that the number seven brings good fortune, especially in gambling contexts like slot machines and dice games.
A roll of seven in craps wins on the come-out roll, and three sevens aligned on a slot machine typically signal a jackpot: She hit lucky sevens and the machine lit up.
The phrase plays on seven's widespread association with luck across many cultures.
