light smoker
Infrequent cigarette user
A light smoker is someone who smokes cigarettes or other tobacco products infrequently or in small quantities—typically fewer than ten cigarettes a day, or only in certain social situations.
The term distinguishes casual smokers from heavy or pack-a-day smokers: She's just a light smoker, maybe two or three cigarettes when she's out drinking.
