legal practices
How lawyers operate
Legal practices are the methods, procedures, and professional activities involved in practicing law.
The term covers both the business side—how law firms operate, bill clients, and manage cases—and the substantive work of advising clients and representing them in legal matters.
A legal practice is also the firm or business itself: She joined a small family law practice after graduating.
In the plural, legal practices often refers to accepted professional customs: standard legal practices in contract negotiation.
