A keyboard case is a protective enclosure for a computer keyboard, especially a mechanical keyboard, designed for storage or transport.
The term also refers to the outer housing of the keyboard itself—the shell that holds the switches, circuit board, and keycaps: I upgraded to an aluminum keyboard case for better acoustics.
