insalubrious
Bad for wellbeing
Insalubrious describes conditions harmful to health—the opposite of salubrious.
An insalubrious climate breeds disease; an insalubrious neighborhood offers poor sanitation, pollution, or other hazards: The factory workers lived in insalubrious tenements near the mills.
The word is somewhat formal and often carries a tone of genteel disapproval.
