indemonstrable
Cannot be shown
Indemonstrable describes something that cannot be demonstrated or proved.
The term appears most often in philosophy, where certain foundational principles—like the law of noncontradiction—are held to be indemonstrable because any attempt to prove them must already assume them: Some truths are indemonstrable yet self-evident.
