A container designed to hold ice cream, typically a round or rectangular plastic or cardboard vessel sold commercially in various sizes.
The term can refer to both small single-serving cups and larger family-sized containers: I grabbed a tub of ice cream from the freezer.
Also used for the industrial containers at ice cream shops from which scoops are served.
