humidex
Perceived heat measurement
Humidex is a Canadian measurement that combines air temperature and humidity to express how hot weather actually feels.
Unlike raw temperature, humidex accounts for the body's reduced ability to cool itself through sweating when humidity is high: The temperature was 30 degrees but the humidex made it feel like 40.
The term blends "humidity" and "index."
