hokey-pokey

Children's participation dance

Hokey-pokey is a participatory children's song and dance where participants extend body parts into a circle, shake them, and turn around: You put your right foot in, you put your right foot out.

In New Zealand, hokey-pokey is a type of honeycomb toffee, especially as an ice cream flavor.

The term can also mean trickery or nonsense, though this sense is dated.
