headspaces
Where thoughts reside
Headspaces is the plural of headspace, which refers to a person's mental or emotional state—their frame of mind at a given moment: We were in very different headspaces after the argument.
The term suggests that mental states are places one occupies, capable of shifting: I need to get into a better headspace before the interview.
In technical contexts, headspace is the empty volume in a container above its contents, or the gap between a firearm's bolt and cartridge base.
