head-in parking
Nose-in vehicle positioning
Head-in parking is a parking arrangement where vehicles pull forward into spaces, with the front of the car facing the curb or barrier.
It contrasts with parallel parking and back-in parking.
Most parking lots use head-in parking because it's faster and easier for drivers, though backing out requires more caution: The lot had head-in parking on both sides of the aisle.
