gum eraser
Artist's crumbly eraser
A gum eraser is a soft, crumbly eraser made from a gum-like material that absorbs graphite by breaking apart as it works.
Unlike harder rubber erasers, it removes pencil marks without damaging paper surfaces, making it preferred for delicate work like drafting and fine art: Use a gum eraser on the sketch so you don't tear the paper.
