green berets
Elite Army soldiers
Green berets are distinctive military headgear, typically olive or forest green, worn by special forces units in various countries.
The beret style became associated with elite troops in the mid-20th century: The soldiers earned their green berets after completing the grueling selection course. (Capitalized Green Berets refers specifically to U.S.
Army Special Forces.)
