got lost
Couldn't find way
Got lost describes the experience of becoming disoriented or unable to find one's way, whether physically or mentally.
Someone who got lost while hiking took a wrong turn or wandered off the trail.
The phrase also applies to abstract situations: I got lost in the details and missed the main point.
It can describe things that disappeared or failed to arrive: My package got lost in the mail.
In conversation, telling someone to get lost is a rude way of dismissing them.
