goofs

Errors from carelessness

Goofs are mistakes or blunders, often ones that are silly or careless rather than serious.

The word can also refer to people who are foolish or prone to making such errors.

In film and television, goofs are continuity errors or production mistakes that slip past editors—a character's glass mysteriously refilling between shots, or a boom mic dipping into frame.

The movie's goofs page lists dozens of errors.

To goof is to make a mistake or to waste time idly: We goofed around all afternoon instead of studying.
